TICKET INFORMATION AND TERMS:
Why purchase
tickets in advance?
Convenience, credit/debit cards, and little to no
waiting in line. Advance ticket purchasers also receive
a special unlimited use 20% off online GON merchandise
coupon and a special entrance at the event. Online
advanced ticket purchasing is optional and is offered as
a convenience. At times, the line to purchase tickets at
the door can be longer than some want to wait. Online
advanced tickets are the only way to pay by credit card
or by mail with certified funds. If the event is
temporarily sold out or arena capacity has been
temporarily reached, those who purchase tickets in
advance are guaranteed admittance.
Why aren't
tickets sent in the mail?
Several reasons including, in the past tickets were
fraudulently duplicated, or lost or stolen in the mail.
Your tickets will be safe and secure at the special Will
Call booth at the Gathering.
Where / How /
When do I pick up my ticket(s)?
You may pick your tickets up as early as Thursday April
24th from 10am-3pm at the UNM Arena ("the Pit"), Avenida
Cesar Chavez Blvd., Albuquerque. Thursday evening from
5pm-8pm at the Miss Indian World Program located
downtown, Albuquerque Convention Center, 401 2nd Street,
(even if you are not attending the Miss Indian World
Program), Kiva Auditorium, 3rd party parking fees may
apply. Friday and Saturday starting at 9am at the UNM
Arena.
There will be a clearly marked, special
Will Call booth at the U.N.M. Arena ONLY and a Will Call
table at the Miss Indian World Program. Last year, there
was little to no waiting in line. Please have your photo
ID ready. At the time of ticket pick up, please state
your LAST NAME as it was indicated in the 'Ship To'
field during online checkout. If it is later at night on
Friday or Saturday and the Will Call booth is closed,
please go to the main ticket window to pick up your
Advance Ticket(s). ALL tickets must be picked up at the
same time.
I am a Dancer and/or Singer/Drum Group. Do I need to
purchase advanced tickets?
All Dancers and Singers/Drum
Groups will be accommodated at Dancer Registration at
the Gathering of Nations. Each dancer and/or singer/drum
group member can purchase a 2 day pass for yourself and
1 additional ticket for another person. Returning
dancers and singers with a current address on file with
the Gathering of Nations will be sent a special discount
ticket coupon for use at Dancer Registration only.
Dancers, Drums, and Singers discount coupons are sent in
the mail mid-January for returning dancers and singers
and are good at Registration only. An additional two 2
day pass is limited at regular price to dancers and
singers at Dancer Registration with registration coupon.
Are there assigned seats? What type of seating is
available?
No, all tickets are general
admission. The UNM Arena has typical arena style seating
with the majority of seating being benches and some
being individual seats.
Are there discounts for Seniors or Children?
No. Only children 1 and
under are admitted free. All ticket sales are monitored
and regulated by the UNM Arena and other government
agencies due to capacity and safety regulations. We are
monitored by the space utilized and not the age of
attendee. These are restrictions imposed on us and we
ask for your understanding.
Is
the U.N.M. Arena wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Wheelchair seating is clearly marked and at the
entry level of the UNM Arena.
Parking. Is there a charge? Is there handicapped
parking?
Parking is regulated by the UNM Arena. Free parking is
available however some lots may charge a parking fee.
Handicapped parking is located in the front of the arena
near the main entrance. A parking attendant may be on
site to assist with special needs parking.
What is the last day I can purchase advance tickets?
The last day to order advance tickets
online will be April 10, 2008. A limited number of 2 day
passes are available online and will likely sell out
early online. If you would like 2 day passes, you are
encouraged to finalize your plans and purchase your
advanced ticket(s) as soon as possible.
Can I purchase advance tickets anywhere else?
No. Advance tickets for the 25th Annual Gathering of
Nations are only sold through gatheringofnations.com.
I don't have a credit card or I'm not comfortable using
one online. Do you accept mail orders?
Yes and only for orders received by April 10th.
WE WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT ORDERS FOR 2 DAY PASSES by
mail, only Friday, Saturday, and Miss Indian World
tickets can now be ordered by mail. You may mail a note detailing your order and include
certified funds (money order or certified check ONLY, no
cash, no personal or business checks) to:

Please include the first and last name that the
tickets should be reserved for, and an email address or
return mailing address for your confirmation. Advanced
ticket prices are: Miss Indian World Thurs. eve. 4/24 =
$14 each; Friday 4/25 Gathering Ticket = $17 each;
Saturday 4/26 Gathering Ticket = $19 each.
Short payments, checks, or cash will be refused and
returned. Orders postmarked after April 5th will be
refused. Orders postmarked after March 28th for 2 day
passes will be refused.
How do I know my tickets are confirmed and guaranteed?
Every
online and mail order for tickets is manually reviewed
by a real human being and a confirmation will be sent by
email after receipt of your purchase as soon as
possible. To ensure that you receive email from our
ticket administrator,
please be sure to allow email from
gatheringofnations.com if you use a Spam and/or Junk
email filter. Having your printed
confirmation is recommended but not mandatory. If your
email address was incorrect or blocked our email, you
will not receive a confirmation. You will have to show
up at Will Call with proof of purchase.
Can
I have someone else pick up my tickets?
Yes. It is best to put that person's name in the 'Ship
To' field when you place your online order. If that
isn't possible, please contact our ticket administrators
by email at tickets @ gatheringofnations.com (without
the spaces in the email address) and let us know that
someone else is picking up your tickets. Certain steps
will be taken to verify your identity before any name
will be changed.
Can I
order tickets for someone else?
Yes. During the checkout process online, enter that
person's name in the 'Ship To' field. The tickets will
be in their name and will be ready for them at the Will
Call booth.
I ordered tickets and I want to purchase additional
tickets, what do I do?
You may place as many orders for tickets as you wish
(subject to availability) before April 10th. Orders are
processed by the name indicated in the 'Ship To' field
at checkout. Multiple orders with the same 'Ship To'
name and address will be consolidated into one order.
I'm sure my order was processed but I did not receive my
email or mailed confirmation. What do I do?
If you do not receive an
email or mailed confirmation of your ticket purchase(s),
we recommend you contact our ticket administrators by
email at tickets @ gatheringofnations.com (without the
spaces in the email address). In the unlikely event that
you do not receive any reply or confirmation and you are
sure you purchased tickets (a charge was made on your
credit/debit card and is verified as a charge [not just
an authorization] by your bank, your tickets will be
ready for you at Will Call.
A single day Friday or Saturday ticket does not allow
re-entry. Why? Can I go to Powwow Alley, Stage 49,
and the Indian Trader's Market Tent?
All ticket sales
are monitored and regulated by the UNM Arena and other
government agencies due to capacity and safety
regulations. We are monitored by the space utilized. To
ensure capacity restrictions and other requirements,
once a person leaves the arena to go outside, re-entry
is not allowed unless another ticket is purchased at the
main ticket window. These are restrictions imposed
on us and we ask for your understanding. Yes, once
inside, you may go anywhere in the Arena, Powwow Alley,
Indian Trader's Market tent, and Stage 49 are all
included with admission.
My plans changed due to circumstances out of my control.
Can I get a refund? What are my options?
Ticket sales are administered by and regulated by other
entities. We are not allowed to give refunds under any
circumstances. You may transfer your ticket(s) to anyone
you choose by contacting our ticket administrators by
email at tickets @ gatheringofnations.com
(without the spaces in the email address).
2 day passes sold out online but I still want guaranteed
tickets. What are my options?
You may purchase tickets
at the door or you may optionally order a Friday and
Saturday ticket online. IF 2 day passes are available
after all dancers, singers, and drum groups have been
accommodated, single day ticket(s) for Friday AND
Saturday may be exchanged for a 2 day pass at our
discretion and subject to availability.
I am an approved Indian Trader's Market vendor and
ordered additional tickets in advance. Do I have to
pick up my tickets at the Will Call booth?
Yes. Advance Tickets and Indian Trader's Market check in
are separate. Please pick up your advance tickets at
Will Call and check in for your booth(s) at the main
ticket window at the designated time.
Can I
order advance tickets online or by mail with a purchase
order?
No. Purchase orders are
only accepted at the main ticket window.
Where do I
get school group tickets?
The special K-12 school
rate of $7 per person is only available on Friday April
25th at the main ticket window. Purchase orders are
accepted at the main ticket window at that time only.
Where do I get a
Press Pass?
Press Passes are limited
and are available at the main ticket window.
Why is the online price higher than the door price?
The cost of accepting, processing, and fulfilling online
orders is higher.
To cover heavy administrative costs and 3rd party fees
associated with advance tickets and due to restrictions
placed on us, a per ticket
service fee applies for online sales. $1 per ticket
benefits the
G.O.N. Native American Academic Scholarship Foundation
at the University of New Mexico. Ticket prices also
include 50 cents per ticket UNM facility fee, online
credit card processing fees, and 3rd party
administrative fees.
