Kassie John
Kassie John was crowned Miss Indian World 2024 at the Gathering of Nations Pow-Wow, April 27, 2024 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Kassie, DINÈ (Navajo) from Rock Point, Arizona. Kassie is 25 years old and is a graduate of the University of Utah with a Bachelor’s of Science in Multidisciplinary Design. She is a young community leader and role model; in addition she a business owner. Kassie will travel this year as an Ambassador for Native/Indigenous people as well as for the Gathering of Nations. Experience the beauty and diversity of Indigenous culture at the Miss Indian World Traditional Presentations, a notable component of the Gathering of Nations Powwow happening at the Albuquerque Convention Center – Kiva Auditorium. Mark your calendars for the evening of Thursday, April 24, 2025, for a cultural showcase like no other, commencing at 7:00 PM. Everyone 2 years old and up must have a ticket for entry to the event.
During the Miss Indian World Traditional Presentations, each candidate takes center stage to exhibit a traditional talent or aspect of her tribe or tribal nation. This showcase is not only a portion of the Miss Indian World Pageant competition but also a profound demonstration of the rich heritage and traditions that preserved have been and transmitted across generations. Witness firsthand the unique diversity among the many tribes, exploring varying traditions through performances that reflect the deep cultural significance and artistry inherent to each.
In an addition that amplifies this experience, the evening is further enchanted by the presence of a special guest musical group, leading attendees through a memorable journey of auditory culture and celebration. This special performance enhances the night, ensuring that the Miss Indian World Traditional Presentations extend beyond visual stimulation to a fully immersive cultural experience.
